In the first four months of using FIpoint, F&I sales at
American RV in Grand
Rapids, MI dramatically increased – so much so that F&I
manager Win Merrill
said, “FIpoint paid for itself in the first month.”
Before using FIpoint, American RV had a menu-based system,
but it was too
cumbersome and required a lot of printouts, so Merrill could
only use it when he
wasn’t busy. “It didn’t calculate the different
options like FIpoint does,” said
Merrill. “It was really a pain – I had to input
figures myself and it took too
much time.”
With the time saved by FIpoint doing the calculations for
him, Merrill can spend
more time with the customer going over F&I options. “Customers
are more
open to buying additional F&I when we can easily adjust
premiums,
like with FIpoint,” commented Merrill. He uses the multimedia
feature if they
have questions or want more information, and is quick to say, “FIpoint
is
awesome. It’s very customer-friendly. The very first
customer I used FIpoint
with bought the top package. The second customer bought the
top package.
The third customer bought the top package… I am
really impressed!”
The financial returns from using FIpoint are impressive – “I
sold more credit
life and disability than ever – the amount actually doubled
within three
months. I used to sell three or four Tire Shields a month and
now with
FIpoint it’s up to twenty-two,” said Merrill. “Extended
warranties sold
have increased 20% and the income from warranties overall has
increased 30%. FIpoint paid for itself in one month.”
