Meet the IDS Sales and Marketing Team

Have you ever wondered about the people that help keep IDS running smooth day in and day out?  It takes an exceptional team of talented individuals and we’re so proud to have each one of them.  So proud, that we’ve decided it’s time to feature each one of them.  This also gives our customers a chance to learn a little more about each of us. We’ll be introducing them by department and then by individual. This month we’re starting with our Sales and Marketing Team. If you happen to get the opportunity to speak with one of them, be sure to tell them what a great job they’re doing!


Grant Farrer – Director of Dealer Development

Grant FarrerFirst up we have Grant Farrer.  Grant is in our Toronto, Canada office and is the Director of Dealer Development.  Grant is the veteran of our staff and has been with us since 1985!  He was one of the first to help develop the original IDS software.  His first job was doing credit card collections, which taught him how to listen and help people work through issues.  His favorite part of his job with IDS is meeting and getting to know our dealers.

Many of our customers have come to know Grant personally and he is always ready with a listening ear.  In his spare time, he enjoys coaching soccer and golfing in the summer and curling in the winter.


Suzie Murphy – Sales and Administrative Office Manager

Suzie MurphyNext is Suzie Murphy, who is a tremendous asset to our team.  Suzie has been with us since 1998 and is located out of our Wake Forest, NC office.  She’s held a few different titles, but for the last several years she has been our Sales and Administrator Office Manager.  Before she joined our team, Suzie had IBM experience that was similar to her role with us.  She feels that having to handle several different jobs at once and working with a lot of different people and teams has helped her role here.

To keep up on the newest ways to be great at her job, Suzie attends various seminars and web training, and has also attended NCSU part-time.  In her spare time you can find her spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, fishing and boating.  Pretty much if you go to the beach, you will find Mrs. Murphy.


Greg Carradus – Director of Sales

Greg CarradusGreg Carradus is our Director of Sales.  Greg’s a vital part of the Constellation sales team, serving as Director of Sales for IDS for the last 2 years and also serves in the same capacity for IDS’s sister company, Ideal Computer Systems.  He’s now in his 17th year at Ideal.

Greg thoroughly enjoys knowing that the products and services that we sell contribute to the success of our dealers and their staff.  He also enjoys working alongside and coaching dedicated and talented team members, and watching them grow personally and professionally.

Greg started his career in a dealership.  During his tenure, he learned the operational processes and work flows that affected the overall dynamics of a successful dealership.  When he started at Ideal Computer Systems, selling dealership management software was a natural fit.   Greg’s education comes in a variety of formats including formal staff development meetings, collaboration with industry consultants, collaborating with peers, “best practice” mentoring from executive team members and exploring “self” driven personal and professional growth materials.  He feels the most significant educational training that he has received over the years, however, has come from our customers.

In Greg’s spare time, you will find him hanging out with his family.  He is an avid Powersports enthusiast and shares that passion with his family and friends.  He particularly enjoys boating/water sports in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.


Greg Dewalt – Account Executive

Greg DewaltGreg Dewalt is our Account Executive.  He has been with IDS since May of 2011. Greg brings a wealth of experience in the RV industry, having served as vice president for Dewalt’s RV for over 16 years.  While at Dewalt’s RV, he helped with the implementation of Astra’s dealer management software in 1999 and used the product to manage the day-to-day operations of the business for 10 years.  After leaving Dewalt’s in 2009, Greg held management positions at both Driftwood RV Center and before joining the IDS team.

What he likes most about working with IDS is the ability to assist dealers with meeting their goals, showing dealers how an integrated Dealer Management System can augment their current operation.  He enjoys using his knowledge of dealership operations and applies that knowledge to how IDS can make the dealership more efficient.  He also enjoys freeing up time for their staff to do more selling of parts, service, boats and RVs.

In Greg’s spare time he enjoys fly fishing, bass fishing and spending time with the family.


Marc Hertert – Inside Sales Account Manager

Marc HertertAs some of you may remember, we recently welcomed a new Inside Account Manager Marc Hertert.  Marc’s responsibilities are to assist IDS customers with new products and to work with them to determine the best solutions for their businesses.  Marc’s area of expertise is focused around Astra CRM, IDS Astra G2, and associated IT requirements.

Marc is excited to learn the intricacies of the different business operations within the IDS customer base and help customers line up their goals and needs with our current and future product offerings.

Prior to working at IDS, Hertert worked with independent retailers helping them implement best practices and improve sales processes.  When Marc isn’t working he enjoys camping, biking, hiking, clay shooting, scuba diving and spending time with his family.


Kimberly Schultz – Inside Sales Account Manager

Kimbery SchultzKimberly is our Director of Professional Services and the Account Manager for 35 of our dealers. She has been with us for 13 years this August.

What she likes most about working here is that each dealership’s story is a bit different and in order to implement the software successfully you have to not only look at their current situation, but you have to make the software and the benefits of the software fit within the dealership. Sometimes this can be challenging, but Kimberly is always up for a good challenge and ready to seize the day.

Kimberly’s past work experience has helped her prepare for her role here at IDS. “No matter what role I played at other companies before coming to IDS, I have always ended up in a Management role.  I worked at two different car dealerships and in both dealerships ended up as the Office Manager within a short period of time.”

Kimberly is great with people and she works very hard. Her employees look up to her and work hard to help make their department succeed. Kimberly values each member of her team and feels it is important to make sure you always look at people’s strengths and their weaknesses and put them in a role that will help them to shine.

Kimberly came to us with some college education and plans to return to school for her bachelor’s degree in business management, as soon as time permits.

In Kimberly’s spare time you can find her boating and soaking up the Florida sun. She loves boating! Weather permitting, you will find her on her boat at least one day on the weekend. She finds it’s very peaceful and it takes you to another place so that you can relax and rejuvenate.  She also enjoys spending time with family and close friends.


Erin Zein – Marketing Coordinator

Erin ZeinLast but not least, we’d like you to meet Erin Zein, our Marketing Coordinator.  Erin brings a wealth of marketing experience to Constellation serving as Marketing Coordinator for IDS for the last two years and its sister company, Ideal Computer Systems, for the last eight years.  Working for both companies has given her the ability to further her industry and product knowledge and come up with new and exciting ways to brand each product individually, as well as develop some joint initiatives.  What she enjoys most about her role is she gets a chance to show her creative side and likes the challenges of always finding new and innovative ways to communicate to both prospects as well as customers.

Prior to Ideal, Erin served five years as a Student Assistant and Intern for The University of Iowa Sports Information Office.  While at Iowa, she served as the media relations contact for several men’s and women’s collegiate sports and was also part of official stat crews for football and men’s basketball.  She graduated from Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Sports Studies and a minor in Sociology.

When Erin isn’t at work, she enjoys spending as much time possible with family and friends, traveling, boating, running, trying new things and watching football.

As you can see, we’ve got a great team helping us and our customer’s day in and day out and we’re so proud to have them with us. Be on the lookout for future blog posts with employees from our other departments.
