Wake Forest, NC, December 4, 2018 – Integrated Dealer Systems (IDS), a leading RV dealership software provider, is pleased to announce its monthly Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT) reports designed to help dealers pinpoint and solve the biggest bottlenecks within their shop.
IDS has worked closely with the RVDA and RVIA to develop the RECT reports. So, to acknowledge IDS’ contribution to the industry, Sean Raynor, the General Manager of IDS, was honored with a Chairman’s Service Award during the 2018 RV Dealers Convention/Expo held in Las Vegas from November 5th to 9th.
Using these reports, dealers can compare their RECT data to that of other dealers across North America in order to:
All data is collected in an anonymous and aggregate format, and IDS does not share identifiable dealer information with anyone.
The early adopters already have plenty of good things to say about the product.
What I like the most about these new IDS RECT reports is that we now have the data to see exactly where our bottlenecks are with long repair cycle times,” said Tim Wegge, the owner of Burlington RV Superstore and former RVDA chairman. “The data shows how RECT is affected by warranty coverage versus customer pay and whether parts are needed through a vendor or a manufacturer.
This gives us the opportunity to manage our service departments in ways we never could before and share our data with our industry partners to help them identify the areas where they need improvement.”
Brian Wilkins, the President of Wilkins RV and former RVDA chairman, echoed Wegge’s opinion, calling the IDS RECT reports “a great tool for providing owners and managers with the information they need to improve their departments and RECT management.”
It is something the industry desperately needed,” said Wilkins. “If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it.”
“I think it’s an essential addition to every dealer’s toolbox, especially in today’s data-driven world,” said Raynor.
What the IDS team has done is create a scorecard this industry will use for decades to come,” said Wegge. “This is just the beginning, and I look forward to watching how the results of this change the entire industry moving forward. The award was well-deserved.”
